I know that many of you will not agree with this post; but my top picks of 2010 includes a lot of girl power, life affirmation, powerful songs. There will be some discussion, plus one honorable mention, mainly because there are just more powerful songs out there.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
10) The Pussycat Dolls "Jai Ho"
Not only was this song about true love, and following destiny; but also was able to coordinate the music and clothing styles of the country which inspired this song.
9) Britney Spears "3"
This had a nice upbeat tempo, but that was about all of what it was.
8) Bon Jovi "Superman Tonight"
Now this is what is called a come back song. After taking a break from the pop genre, and even I think music period. It is nice to hear a classic Bon Jovi song with thier powerful song power.
7) Bruno Mars "Just The Way You Are"
This song started to be played way too much, but it still had a nice message. Just because we don't think that we look are best, or there are things that we wish that could be changed; does not mean that to someone else is what makes us perfect.
6) Eminem "Not Afraid"
Just because this is not the prankish, selfish; nay, adolescent Eminem that the world embraces, I actually enjoy him better now. It is nice to see someone who embraces his mistakes and says this is who I was, and I am not afraid to become a better person.
5) Eminem featuring Rhianna "Love the Way You Lie"
What a powerful anthem to raise awarness of abuse. It recognizes both of the psychology of the abuser and the abusee. The possible reason why the abusers do what they do, and why the abusee stays.
4) Shontelle "Impossible
This is a song that embraces the hopes of every single person in the world, how we are told to be careful, but also trying to see if we can make it work.
3) B.O.B featuring Hayley Willams and Eminem "Airplanes"
A song about making wishes and the hope that we can have a mulligan if it doesn't work how the dream said it would.
2) Christina Perri "Jar of Hearts"
This is a song for every broken hearted person needs to hear. Just so one can remember what the person did.
1) Orianthi "According to You"
Just like I had mentioned with the other songs. Everyone of those anthemas belong with this one song.
And the Honorable Mentions:
Katy Perry's Firework and Teenage Dream.
Reba McIntire's new album
